I am learning to sail, I’ve been on the water four seasons. There is so much to learn and I lack some self confidence. I read a lot of sailing magazines and books that give me a base. I took a sailing course that also gave me a bit more confidence.

I’m just counting the days till sailing season! I’m going to a party tonight that will have a lot of sailors at it. Can’t wait to chit chat and make plans for the summer.

Last sail on Trilogy for the season last weekend. Feeling rather sad about the season ending. It started out rather slow because of the weather, but ended awesome. I learned a lot this year, most of all never rush, and trust your boat.

The boats in the water, we are going up to Rockland for the weekend. I finally get to use some of my new skills at the helm! I’m very excited.

I finally took a sailing course, best thing I’ve ever done. Awesome time and good confidence builder. I have a long ways to go but thats ok. Hopefully launch Trilogy next week and I will be ready!

Thank you for the good advice, I much appriciated it. THere is a lot to learn, i am gaining more knowledge every day thanks to sailors like you. I am taking a learn to sail course, that is helping with my confidence. Today is the last day, now the real fun begins. Keep offering those sugestions.

I’ts a 31 foot Sloop Seafarer. I am excited to get the season going and launch her this weekend.

Thank you Sandra, that is what I am now doing, I’m trying to face my fears and move on. I am taking a sailing course which has an awesome female instructor. She has been of great help, and likes to race as well. I have noticed there are not a lot of female sailors out there. I think thats a shame as it is so much fun!

I took some of the suggestions from you, and I joined a learn to sail course. I think its a lot of fun. Really learning a lot, and am starting to gain some confidence. Best thing I could have done! Thank you all!

Finally taking sailing lessons! I absolutely love it. I\’m looking so forward to Saturdays class. Good people, a very good time. I think i’ve been bitten by the sailing bug!
