Have you heard about the Plastiki yet? It’s a catamaran made out of 2,500 plastic bottles and other recycled/re-purposed material! Very cool indeed. More needs to happen to make our earth, and most importantly, our seas more ”green”. This is a huge step in the right direction! Has anyone noticed their marinas or yacht clubs making more of an effort to recycle lately? For some reason I think small steps forward have been taken. Why not speak up and see if you can make a big difference to save our seas?!
Walden kayaks are constructed of recycled plastic milk containers – my son has a tandem and is completely satisfied with the quality and performance. Unfortunately, the company closed due to lack of available milk jugs – which are easy to recycle.
