Team Barkow comes in second at the US Olympic Trials after a hard battle for the top spot

May 29, 2012 in Team Sperry Blog

Last week we competed in the second part of the US trials.  This was a winner take all event, and unfortunately we got second.  The event consisted of two series.  In the first series we were matched up against Genny Tulloch and team.  We won the series 6-4 to advance to the finals.  In the finals we sailed Anna Tunnicliffe and team, and they were able to win the series 6-3.  For a more detailed regatta report, check out our website, www.team7sailing.com.  We are disappointed with how the event turned out, but want to say congrats and good luck to Anna, Molly, and Debbie for winning the event.

While we are still disappointed with how this event finished up, we are not finished.  We will be competing at the Women’s Match Race World’s in late June in Sweden. Read the rest of this entry →

Lucy from Team Macgregor gets quite a bump while training in Cadiz
