Since the Trials

Since the trials we have all taken some time off.  Elizabeth spent some time in Miami and is now coaching in Newport for some of the summer.  Sally has been spending her time foiling around Pine Lake in Moths.  And I have been spending my time stand up paddle boarding, at home in Charleston.

We did sail in the Chicago Match Race Eurex Grade 2 at the beginning of June.  For the event, Sally and I were joined by Jen Wilson on main, Jacob Karlin trimming, and Benny Allen on the bow.  We had a good first day finishing 5-3.  Day two we went undefeated, 11-0.  And then on the final day we lost our semi final series against Jordan Reece, but we won the petit finals against Brad Funk to get 3rd

Another highlight was the release of the June 13 ISAF Open Match Racing Rankings, where Sally has moved in to the top 25.  She is now ranked 24.

We head to Weymouth next week for some training, before heading to Sweden for the Women’s Match Racing Worlds at the end of June.
